Policy enforcement
Settings that reflect your rules.
Solutions · By Role
Review the guardrails and records compliance teams need. Confirm fit against your policies in a tailored demo.
Requirements checklist
Compliance owners look for three things: policy enforcement, evidence and exception handling. Product-level controls are on the compliance controls page.
Settings that reflect your rules.
Records that show what happened.
A clear route when something goes wrong.
Configurable restrictions, confirmed for your account in a demo. The examples show the kind of rule to define.
| Rule | Example | Where it is set |
|---|---|---|
| Calling hours | Only within permitted local hours. | Campaign settings. |
| Attempt limits | A maximum number of attempts per contact. | Retry rules, where supported. |
| Spacing | Time between attempts. | Retry rules. |
Rules are yours to define with legal advice.
Suppression flow
Suppression and consent work together before and during a campaign.
Only contacts you may call.
Do-not-call registries and opt-outs.
Consent records kept with your systems.
Opt-outs applied promptly.
Recording options and retention settings are described only where available for your account.
| Topic | Question to answer | Who decides |
|---|---|---|
| Recording | Which calls may be recorded? | Your organization, with legal advice. |
| Notice | What must callers be told? | Your organization. |
| Retention | How long are recordings kept? | Your policy, where configurable. |
Confirm options in a demo.
Audit log
Evidence comes from call records, outcomes and permissions. See reporting and analytics; a full log of setting changes is confirmed in a demo.
What happened on each call.
Who can change what.
Who changed what and when, where available.
Records for your own review.
Escalation flow
Compliance works best with clear handoffs. The operations view is on the operations page, and number practices on caller ID reputation.
Legal and compliance define the rules.
Operations sets them up.
Compliance reviews the evidence.
Exceptions go back to legal.
Product demonstration
A tailored demonstration checks the controls and records against your policies. Regulated outreach is covered on the financial services dialer page and large organizations on the enterprise page; see how it works for the overall flow.
At a minimum: calling-hour restrictions, attempt limits, do-not-call suppression, consent records, recording options where permitted, permissions and records that show what happened. Which of these your account supports is confirmed in a demonstration. Map each control to a policy you own, so gaps are visible before launch. Review the map with legal counsel regularly.
Lists are checked against the do-not-call registries that apply and against your own opt-out lists before dialing, and suppressed contacts are not called. New opt-outs must be added promptly. Your organization remains responsible for which registries apply and how often lists are checked, so document the process and keep dated records.
Yes. Compliance teams can review call records, outcomes and, where available and permitted, recordings, with permissions controlling access. Records can also be exported or streamed to your own systems for review. Ask to see the review workflow in a demonstration with the people who will use it. Agree the review schedule and owners in advance.
Calling windows are set in campaign settings, so calls are placed only within the hours you define, where supported. Different regions can need different windows, so define them per campaign and check time zones carefully. Confirm the configurable restrictions for your account in a demonstration before launch. Review the windows whenever you add a new region.
Permissions control who can change settings, and call records show what happened on each call. A full log of who changed which setting and when is confirmed for your account in a demonstration rather than assumed. If it is essential for your policy, raise it at the start of your evaluation.
No. Dialog does not guarantee legal compliance. It provides controls and records that support your compliance program, and your organization remains responsible for meeting the laws and regulations that apply to it. Take advice from your own legal counsel, and treat this page as general information rather than legal advice.
Discuss your use case, existing systems, calling volumes and integration requirements with the Dialog team.
